Born at a very young age, I’m Justin Allison – owner and founder of Back and 4th Studio.

Starting out as a freelancer in 2000, my studio has gone by a few different names over the years before finally settling in to the permanent Back and 4th Studio in 2006.

Why this name? Because I believe that the number one priority in my job is to get the picture out of your head and on to the page, and this takes great communication between us.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have worked as an editorial cartoonist for the Geelong Advertiser and its affiliates, had a 15 year stint as a Graphic Artist in the fashion industry (I was a founding member of the clothing label St.Goliath), and contributed to other countless clothing brands all over the world. I currently can be found most days at Cotton On clothing, noodling my days away designing all manner of graphics and apparel for the NRL, AFL, AFLW and Ultra Football  amongst others.

In my freelance work, I’ve worked with clients such as Ahpah Independent Brewery, Circle Media, The National Wool Museum, The Carlton Draft, Malt Creative, NorthEnd Boardriders, City of Perth SLSC, Ozzy Burgers and Fosters Group, just to name (drop) a few. I’m also a proud member of Geelong Illustrators.

Located in central Geelong, I spend my days doing all things arty and design across many different mediums under the close supervision of my Groodle Wally Bob.

So, welcome to Back and 4th Studio: take a look around, please get in touch if there is something I can help you with – and thanks for stopping by.
